The island of Saint Martin is french. Because of a British heritage, only here the French mostly speak English.
There income depend on American and Canadian tourist's who visit this island frequently.
The locals consider them selves more as Saint Martiners and less French.

Between 5 and seven cruise ships arrive in the port of Philipsburg (each 3500 to 5000 passengers) while planes keep (high season every 15 minutes) landing at Princess Juliana Airport.
